What does We Care Solar do?

We Care Solar is a non-profit that designs and sells a rugged solar suitcase aimed at the health sector in developing countries, in particular maternal and child care. We Care Solar’s Solar Suitcase® provides lighting and essential electricity for medical procedures.

How are they disrupting their industry?

Over 300,000 women and 1,000,000 newborns die annually from pregnancy and childbirth related complications, often in health centers without reliable electricity. We Care Solar is the only organisation to provide an industrial-grade solar kit designed specifically to enable health workers to diagnose and treat medical complications and improve health outcomes for mothers and newborns.
